Has anyone ever actually put one of these ``3.8 Gallon Sportster Legacy Gas Tank'' on a Forty-Eight? I love the look of the 48, though the tank is a little tiny. This tank looks quite cool and it's all over the web, but I can't seem to find any pictures of it on the bike...

hmm... nope, that's not it at all. i'm hoping to see what a 3.8 gallon legacy gas tank -- which has knee indents and is a totally different shape than the one you posted -- looks on a forty-eight, which is a different bike from the one you posted.

does anyone have any pictures? i would appreciate

As much as I'd like more gas in my tank I have yet to see a bigger tank on a 48 that doesn't change the look that drew me in. When I bought my bike they had a 48 on the floor that they put a larger tank on.. Just looked like another sportster to me.. My .02 , we are all grown men and can do what we like with our bikes..
