No, been on there for a good while. Was an early mod after I got the bike.

HSCIC: Have you considered a shield? Admitted its not a batwing but some work well and are quick-detach, mine is a HD, the maximum which I modified greatly, glove box, lower side is vinyl covered as the older bikes of the 50-70's sometimes did, mostly cop versions but works for me.

Yup...had a quick release HD windshield and hated it...so I sold it on CL. It could be because I was looking through the shield and not over it,,,probably too tall for me.

Beside wind/rain protection, I am looking to transform the look into a low profile sporty bagger....similar to those low custom baggers without the radical front wheel. it's a stylin thing....LOL

Okay pulled the trigger and gave in....bought batwing fairing with 5" tinted windshield for $180 including shipping.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BATWING-FAIR...RVoLYz&vxp=mtr

Just had to buy the docking hardware for HD detachable windshield (58164-96A). Figure if I do not like it, can sell it on CL and won't set me back too much. Memphis shades was a little too costly....would have spent more than twice as much on the same thing.

If I like the look on the bike, deflects wind, and if I can see over the fairing windshield and does not hinder my view of the road, it will be a keeper, but hope that is not wishing for too much. If it's all good, goes to my graphics painter for painting and pinstriping...and perhaps some ghost graphics if I can get him to include in the cost...lol.

Thank you all for your input
