Default Does this bolt hold oil?

Preparing to ride a short errand this afternoon, and notice this during the idle walk-around I usually do. Bolt backed out so far it was wiggling. Is there an oil channel behind it or crankcase pressure? Sure was a lot of oil around and on the threads.

Upper left engine mount, forward cylinder.

Looks like a rocker box leak.

^+1, pretty sure there is no oil behind that bolt, looks like it's time for some rocker cover gaskets.

Thanks all..
Yeah I know about the rocker seep, discovered that last week. Just wondering about that bolt. Could be anti-seize on threads. Have long suspected my bike was a Friday afternoon or early Monday morning build.

That is your upper motor mount bolt. Clean it (both of them), add some locktite and torque to spec. If you cant get your torque wrench to work there, just make sure that they are both tight and keep an eye on it. They are known to come off as you have experienced already. Good thing you caught it before it fell off. If yours have lock washers, replace the washers with new ones.

I've been wanting to look over all my engine bolts plus taking a really good look at the engine mounts... Anyone have any idea how many mounts are on a 2014 Custom ? Just a quick look I can see a couple large ones at the base and the small one on top in front.

The bike is still under warranty, correct?

Take it back to the dealer and have the rocker box leak fixed.
