Default Bit by the Harley bug!

Man I've been riding for years, all Japanese bikes....Started on a Shadow, moved up to a Yamaha Warrior (what a beast, I really miss that bike). Then I moved on to sportbikes, had a handful of those. My current bikes are a 2013 CB1100 (cool retro looking bike, I love it) and my new-to-me Sportster.

I actually came across this bike online for a whopping $2800...at first i figured it was a typo or something was really wrong with it...turns out the bike was given to the guy i bought it from by his father so it was all profit to him.

The owner said he couldn't keep her idling - I fig'd it was the carb and made the deal. A quick $50 crank position sensor swap and she's purring like a kitten!!

I've put close to 1000 miles on her in the past week, I am in LOVE. Comfy as hell, plenty of power, and looks-wise can't be beat. I've always loved Sportys.....and this one is a KEEPER! There really is something about a Harley, if you don't own one you just don't know.

thanks man - I really LOVE this bike....

Now the fun part, can't decide what direction i want to go with it...I love the bobber look, but I can't help but think a nice sleeper Sporty with a nasty little motor could be SO sweet...

I'd love to sneak up on some crotch rockets and give 'em a run from the stoplight - saddlebags n all haha

Amen to that...Welcome to the 'Sport Side'.
I recently had a conversation with a Gold-Wing rider about why a Harley. Having ridden a wing myself, I explained that on a super smooth cruiser it was actually possible to occasionally forget you were riding a bike... No such case on a Harley!

Congrats and welcome. Once you're bitten it gets worse...I still appreciate other bikes, but there's nothing like a Harley.

My wife is going through something similar right now. She started on Ducatis, and currently has a Duc Diavel and a Triumph Street Triple R. Both are amazing, fun to ride bikes.....well she just bought a 48 after YEARS of not wanting a harley...she said yesterday she might sell the other two bikes. It's not a "bite"...it's a disease. Symptoms seem to be lots of smiling while riding. Enjoy.
