Lets see, I've owned my Sportster for 2.5 years; I've washed it once; I guess that averages out to about once every 2.5 years whether it needs it or not.

 

WASH A SPORTSTER???? WHY??? You're supposed to ride not wash. When mine goes in for service the dealer cleans it because they don't want anyone to see one so dirty, that is enough for me.

 

I'm with you, in 2.5 years it's been washed twice. Iwashed it once & my daughter one time. Hard to wash it going down the road...........

 

Usually once a week, but more if it rains, gotta keep that springer shiny

 

I only washed it because I wasn't able to ride this winter. I had to do something to spend time with my sporty this winter.

 

I wash it when its dirty. I was kinda tornabout washing the dust and mud off of it from the trail ride the other week, it just gave it so much character.

 

I only wash my bike when I can't stand to look at it anymore. This equates to about every three months or so. I'd rather ride it and let the mobile car wash ( rain) take care of the cleaning.

 

Wash, wax, and polish a couple times a week. Makes for some good down time after a long ride on the back deck with the hose, bucket, bike, and a couple Oberons. [sm=icon_guiness.gif]

Please note: washing does NOT have hiarchy over riding though!!

 

Always right before I pick up a hot chick for the night. Otherwise who cares. hehe
