Thumbs up A tweak to the inverted-mirror mod!

How do folks, thought I'd share the way I've tidied up the inverted mirror mod - I found it a bit messy with the nut at the top so...

5mm M8 spacer:

... which makes the nut flush with the bolt:

Then use a 1/2" (~13mm) nut cover:

... and then we have:

I'm sure this has already been done before, but I think it makes a nice difference for he sake of a couple of quid

Done already or not, still a nice way to tidy things up!
Reminds me to do the same. Flipped mirrors years ago, but forgot to get around to covering the ugliness.

Thanx!

Nice method for making it slick. I can appreciate mods to stock parts, that maintain the part's original form. Good show.

You wouldn't happen to have the name of the place you bought if from and the part numbers, would you?

Just eBay specials I'm afraid matey, here are the links but don't know how much use they'd be to you guys in the US:

13mm M8 Hex Cover: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161319324291

12mm (O/D) / M8 / 5mm Spacers: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331033653316

Only criticism if buying again would be that metal spacers would be better as due to the lack of thickness of the spacer it can't be torqued down very tight at all before buckling.
