I just finished the makeover on that bike and haven't put the signals back on yet. I've been trying to decide what to use and where to mount them. The huge stock lolipop signals just wont cut it. My hard bags have lights in them them that I'll use for the rear signals, and now I'll plan to use those tree mounts with the black sporty signals. I'm sure it will look and function great for me. Should work out perfect.

Good luck with your install. Yes they look great, better than on the handlebars. You will not be disappointed.

I also have built-in lights on my hard saddlebags, but I use them as additional brake lights and relocated my turn signal (integrated with my slanted license plate holder) since I also have quick release mounts for the bags and wanted to have turn signals if I remove and ride without the bags.....just a thought for you to consider.

Thanks. Check post #28 and #33 on this thread.

You will need to go to a hardware store to pick up a couple of socket allen head bolts and lock washers to secure the turn signal to the mount....not provided in the kit. I got 5/16-24 X 3/4" stainless steel, you can go longer or shorter depending on your set-up. HarleyScuba installed 1/2" spacers to extend the signals out a little more.

Sure, I understand you point. But my bags are a permanent fixture on my bike and part of the paint scheme. My bike is lifted pretty high and I don't personally care for the look of the gap between the rear tire and fender. So the bags are also doing a good job of concealing that gap. I'm also trying to keep it as clean and simple as possible. In doing so I'm going to install a Run, Turn, Brake controller that will light the bags and taillight as running lights. All three lights will also work as brake lights. And still allow the bag lights to flash as signal lights. That's the plan anyway, we'll see how that works out.
