I rented a Street Bob yesterday and although I liked it, I really like my Sporty too. The main problem I have with Sportster is the suspension. Although it is great for handling, it feels like a hardtail compared to the Dyna when going over bumps. At the end of the day, I am beat up from riding my Sportster. I don't want to get the Progressive shocks if I will end up wanting the Dyna in the end.

Any thoughts?

No, they will not. Nothing will make your sportster ride like a dyna. The frames are different and the dyna is just a more comfortable motorcycle.

Night and day. Sporties ride rough. Don't like the ride, the dyna is the answer.

 

Keep going up the chain of bigger bikes, I think they have a lazy-boy model?

Can't say the Progressives will make ya happy with the Sporty, they will make you happy with the ride, amazing difference. And a Dyna does not ride any better than my Sporty, at least not to me. I was not impressed at all with the St. Bob. Especially when considering it is twice the price of my Sporty. Something would have to ride mighty damn good to be worth twice as much. A Dyna is 2 inches longer than a Sporty, can't see where anyone would think it rides better than a Sporty with Progressives. BS. Sporties now even ocme with a 1" rear axle and a 150 rear tire, bigger than any pre 04 Dyna

 

Really? I rode a 07 Bob and I felt like I was riding a 2 wheeled car. No road feel or bumps at all.

 

You must have low expectations, I was not impressed with the 15k Bob at all.

 

Progressives made my Sporty ride a TON better, but better than a Dyna? I dont know...... I love my Sportster!

Im not a small guy, and I rode 2-up to Laughlin, and I had no complaints on how it rode. I even passed a few Dyna's.**shrugs**
