RE: Lowering just the rear
I'm lowered my 06 1200C with 11" 412 progressives and left the front std. hgt. and just swapped the springs for better progressives. Did not see the need to drop the front, I like the little rake it gives and handles fine. Lots of folks just drop to rear as it has so little affect on the steering and still affords you a little clearance.

RE: Lowering just the rear
Ihave 10.5 on mine and we did lower the front. I like the way it looks, it changed the entire feel of the bike for me. However all we did to the front was slide the front down a bit and when I do hit a really good bump it bangs a little. ( Just a temp fix for the time untill we can do it the correct way).

RE: Lowering just the rear
like I said I used 11" 412's on the rear. if you look around you can find them for under $199. I have the progressive lowering kit in the front, which the way I have it set up it lowered it alittle more then 2". I am really happy with the look that I have with the suspension set up like it is.

RE: Lowering just the rear
The front on my custom felt a bit long and slow for the lower stock height rear. When I changed to heavier fork springs, I lowered the front an inch too. It all feels more balanced now. Price wise, lowering the front would only cost about 50 cents but, the stock springs are so soft, its all better with something stiffer.
