Oil filter
What oil filter does everyone run in their sporty? I went with a revtech last change, but I just wondered what was preferred and or the cheapest.

Amsoil. Kinda expensive, but isn't everything? (I haven't priced them anywhere else so I don't really know how they compare)

RE: Oil filter
I like the HD brand, they were made for the application and the specs are on as far as bypass spring pressure and filter media.

RE: Oil filter
I use the HD chrome filter #63796-77A. I have also used the HD #63813-90 which is a little longer. I was told it would help lower the oil temp since it stuck out about an 1" or so, but I never noticed a drop in temp and went back to the original filter. Tim

RE: Oil filter
Just did my pre-winter storage oil change yesterday and used the H-D filter #63796-77T (chrome) along with the H-D 20/50 oil. As this is my first Harley (just recently got it) I figured I'd play it safe for now and use the H-D stuff. As I learn more about this motorcycle, what I will use next year may change.
