Helmet Lock Positioning - where did you mount?
So, I recently acquired the Kuryakin helmet lock....I finally clued in to the fact that lugging around my damn helmet is a pain in the ***. Anyways, Can you guys post pic of where you have mounted yours? I have a full face helmet and want to make sure its in the right spot since you technically can't loosen the screws once tightened.
Thanks!!!!
Thanks!!!!

I mounted mine on left side, in front of engine, tube going up.
Sorry, no picture of it.
Fitted nicely and I can easily leave it there, even that my bike is stored in a semi-open garage.
Keep also the gloves inside, and the whole helmet inside it's own storage pouch. So it won't get dusty etc.

I just bought the same lock (small 7/8 - 1 1/4") and I could not find a place that the helmet would fall nicely without heat or banging on something or a place where the lock layed flat or fit on the tubing. Many place the lock on the engine guard/crash bars but mine did not fit right. Perhaps just the wrong size....probably need the larger one.
Here is a pic on another thread that I asked about. Pretty good place - hidden and accessible. Helmet lays nicely. Able to place regular SS screws instead of the tamper proof screws since screws are not accessible under the seat. The only thing that I am concerned with is it appear to push the seat up. Check out post 1621.

I couldn't find any good locations for my bike for a helmet lock, so I hang my helmet on my throttle side grip, and I bought a little luggage lock that I can loop through my mirror stem ( flipped mirrors) and the D rings on my helmet. Sure if someone wanted to they could cut it with some side cutters, but at least it will stop some kid from running off with my helmet. I'm not too worried about it.
Can also put it on top of a sissy bar and lock it to that.
This is the lock I got, it was important to me to have a key for it, they are unique keys, not universal.

Are you using the large lock 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" diameter tubing to attach to the engine guard? Off-hand do you know what size screw is used...I believe it is 1" but can't remember size and thread. Thanks
