Default Value for this rigid chopper??

How much would you guys say this bike is worth?:

http://portland.craigslist.org/nco/mcy/317869520.html

If i traded a sportster worth about $5,500, how muchmore cash would be needed to throw in to make it an even deal?

Don't get mad at me... but

I think you're ahead of the game the way you are (with your current bike)...

Though the custom is different... it has the incomplete look to it...

The gap between the tank and the seat... it just doesn't look finished...

Looks like the chrome has a lot of wear on it...

It looks like he tried to get out the cheapest way he could...

Personally I wouldn't even consider a trade... especially being ridgid...

But hey... who am I to tell you what to do... lol

It has a REVTECH engine!! If you trade him he comes out ahead of the game. Out of 5 people I know that have had revtechs only one is still on the road. One bike is in a salvage yard after the motor threw a rod at 70 mph on the interstate, and the others now sport other brand engines after countless problems. Just my .02, but I would keep looking, if you really want a rigid chopper buy a roller and put your sporty drivetrain, tins and electrical in it.

Recheck you Sportster, You'll have a hard time getting $5,500. You'll be lucky to see $3,500. When they said the Sportsters took a Dive they ment it.$ 5,500 willget you an 05' or 06 if you shop. I am not trying to bust your bells, I'm sittin on one myself.

Ive checked my sportster, and know what its worth around here at least. It must be relative to what part of the country your in. If you take a look at craigslist in oregon, i see bikes alot older then mine going for 5K, not that anyone is buying them, but for my bike around here 5,500 is about whatmy year islisting for. The bikes you are talking about go for 6K up to 8K, or at least thats what people are listing them for in oregon. I know i looked all last year before buying mine for 5K, I had a big choice between two bikes for that price.$ 3,500 wont get you **** around here but a basket case or possibly a sportster from the 80's with 60K miles on it.

If you look long enough on Craigslist you will see those bikes over and over again. There is a big difference between askin and gettin.
Try postin your bike for sale here and they'll come out of the woodwork telling you how it is oo much and how there are newer for less. I hope you get exactly what you want, I just haven't been seeing it happen.
