Default Question for the cleaning GURUs

After a daytrip I recently took I got back to the house and it was inspecting the bike for any rock chips or anything like that and I noticed on the motor casing there are a couple little yellow spots. I took a toothbrush to it with some basic cleaner and it did not take it off and after really looking at it it appears that it might be paint that they used to paint the yellow lines on the road. I did go through a couple of construction zones and I didn't notice any paint trucks, but either way...Anyone have any advice as far as how I might be able to get that stuff off without damaging the casing.

If you have "varsol" brand solvent in your area it does a good job of removing stuff without harming the surface below, it stinks a lot but works, wash the area after with soapy water to remove the varsol residue.
