Default Tank lift, coil relocate on a 88 sportster?

I like the look of the coil relocate/tank lift, and want to do that on my 1988 Hugger. So far, all the posts I've found are from newer "non carb" bikes. Moving the key switch and horn should be easy, and I can fab the brackets, but what do you do with the Enricher?

If anyone has pics of that detail, please post.

You can buy a cable bracket that attaches to the top cover of the carb.

I did this on my '87, made brackets to lift the tank, and another one to move the coil. I'll get you some pics this evening and post them, and I'll see if I can find the thread I started for it.

Here's my original thread: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...tank-lift.html I've since made longer brackets so the tank sits on top of the frame. I cut out two pieces of 1'8th inch steel for the rear tank mount and raised it even with the frame as well.

The biggest pain I ran into was spacers for the frame, it required about 1/2" on both sides to match the width of the tank. I soldered a stack of washers together and painted them black, just to make it easier to mount them. Coil bracket is the stock mount ground off just past where the coil mounts, welded to some steel brackets I made and then attached to the top motor mount.

Finally remembered to go take pics, here's the coil mount I made pretty simple

1/8th inch steel welded to the stock bracket, nothing fancy but it's held up for five years and still looks fine and works well

I don't have my tank or frame right now but here's a pic of the tank lift brackets they're about six inches long
