Had just got a skull key blank that I ordered on Ebay, and it is an X234 type, but doesn't fit key on my Harley Davidson 2013 48. Went by dealer to try and get info, but they couldn't find any specifics?? Went online, and everything seems to say the X234 is the key blank. Key actually has number 1750D on it, but nothing pops up with that. Key and Blank seem to have opposite cut with top/bottom left/right being reversed.

Have run into a number of items that were suppose to fit bike, but then didn't. Seller said, he's had some issue with 2013 bikes and not being the X234, but would like to find exactly what the blank is that is needed.

I searched for a Key Blank for my 2012 48. Tried all the Internet sites no luck.
I searched all the Locksmiths on LI, NY no luck. Ended up with a key from Harley as I recall $30, this was ordered from the serial and cut by the Factory.
I even tried the key from my sons' 2013 883 Iron, it would not go in the slot. I am not sure if the 2012 and 2013 were supposed to be the same or each year was distinct. Real pain. I did try blanks from a 2011 48 it was no good as well.

That number 1750D is probably the key differ for your key, of which there may be thousands.

 

Find one mention that a guy found a locksmith that was able to make a key using a Honda blank? SILCA HON64BP Looked at the template, and it does seem to be the same key part. Also, found another site that listed that it had two key types, but one is a reverse cut?? Sent an email for more info, but nothing yet.
