Took the long way around on a 315 mile round trip to the Outer Banks with a stop at the Wright Memorial.
Nice ride on the Sporty but man was it hot out.

 

I've been down to Cape Hatteras a few times on vaca, and always thought it would be a great place to take a bike trip. Sounds fun.

 

Sounds like a great trip and yeah, this time of year I bet it was plenty hot.

BTW, beautiful bike. Makes me want to put drag bars on mine.

 

Thanks, And those are the stock 48 bars, with the Nightster tank it puts the bars slightly above the tank and makes em look like drag bars.
I would really like to get taller bars for comfort but it looks so darn good like it is so my shoulders can just suffer

 

Beautiful bike. I went to Outer Banks years ago on a beach house vacation. Really nice place but since I drove there, didn't really take notice of roads or scenery etc until I reached there. Given by the natural beauty in Carolinas, I bet there are some pretty cool back roads around that area.

 

Yeah, that's part of my internal debate too but I'm wondering if the change in posture would push me into my lean when turning a little better but that might just be justification.
