Default RE: Yet another Slip-on Muffler Question

I've just put a set of V&H slipons on my 07 883 and to be honest they are too loud[&o]

Funny thing is my mates has got a set on his 06 1200 and following him his sounds great, maybe they sound louder when you actually riding the bike!! I dunno but, I will be getting a set of the quite baffels for it.

I've been doing 'plug chops' on mine and the plug colour is spot on with the std air filter set up.

cheers

I just did the last step of my upgrade and on my 06 1200 the V&H slip ons are loud.Quiet baffles are $29 each. The lower 2 to 3db.Is that worth the money? 2 db does not seem like much of a reduction. What say you.

2-3 Db doesn't seem noticable to me.
