Hey guys, I have a 2009 Sportster Custom and I'm looking for a new set of handlebars. The stock ones just aren't cutting it for me. I'm trying to find something that will get rid of the huge riser on them and give it a meaner look without taking away from the class of the bike. Something not too extreme, but just enough.

Any ideas from what ya'll have done or seen?

 

I have a 2007 XL1200C and feel the same as you. I am going to a 2 inch riser with 12 inch Burley bars and new speedo housing and wiring and cables. Good winter project. I am just assemblying all the new parts as we speak. A lot of the members have done similar to what I am doing and I have seen their finished results and really like it. Not for everyone but it works for me.

 

I also want to get rid of the stock riser. I was thinking of using the 72's stock riser and speedo housing.

 

Looks the same as the XL1200L stock risers and speedo.
