Default Finally got a nightster

After getting tired of waiting for the stealers around me to get a nightster in, I decided to buy one 330 miles away, the silver and black one. So I will be riding the superslab there on my sportspike, then taking mostly 2-lane highway back. Looks like a perfect day for a long ride too with temps in the 70s. Should be fun and painful.

a few notes:

1. The stock exhaust is truly pitiful. I think an angry Chihuahua farting might be louder and deeper.
2. Not the smoothest of rides.
3. Stock seat was like a rock, and really started to kick my *** the last 100 miles or so.

I didn't really test the power out too much. I attempted to stay within breakin guidelines, but I had a lot of fun riding it back all those miles. I am quite happy with the purchase. The whole trip took about 10.5 hours with 2 long work zone interruptions, and I think two hours at the dealership.

Edit to add:

Riding my ricer streetbike there, no one waved at me. Riding home, I had three people on the side of the road wave at me which I found interesting.

Good for you, I walked into my dealer last march and they had the exact bike you bought on the floor. an hour later she was mine, just finished breaking her in. next is a set of rush pipe's to make it sound like a harley WAY to quiet for me. go to there web site and check out the different sound's. keep an eye on the battery and fuse conection's for corosion build up had to clean mine and apply dialectic grease. ride safe, geek from mich...

Any thoughts about switching out the susp? I've been looking into it....I haven't found a whole lot of options. Let me know if you come up with any good ideas.

No, but I sure did some thinking on it lol. I think the next step for me is to get a custom seat, either Corbin or Mustang, then see what the ride is like.
