Default Cobra, Rush, SE, VH,.....I think I'll go with the snake

Like you all, I've read lots, listened/watched the videos of exhaust notes....

I think my decision is for the Cobra 3" slip-ons. Here's why....

A 2" baffle is included. An extra charge for some other pipes.
The end cap is adjustable for side, down, or angled look. Options in case tastes change.
Not too loud, but seem to give a deep throaty sound.
Well made. American made. Lifetime warranty.
Price! $257 + free shipping on Amazon....not too bad.

"Cobra" ... just sounds more impressive/agressive than explaining to someone you 'upgraded' to a Cycle 'Shack' muffler. That name just sounds like you cheaped out. (they may make good stuff...I just can't do it.)

I'm really surprised by how much prices vary among online sites. I've seen prices from $257(Amazon) to over $330 on some random biker site. Exact same product. It pays to look around a bit.

Good choice, IMO. I went with the 1.75" baffle. You'll enjoy them, I am sure.

The Cobras are cool - they have the "end piece" that you can rotate to change the look of the pipe from time to time. Nice touch. Sound good too - very similar to my V&H 3" slip ons.

I could certainly call my dealer, but thought I'd ask you guys. Are Cobra's available to purchase through HD dealers? Reason I ask is that I have a 25% discount card from my local dealer I received for my birthday. Nice huh? I really like my local dealer, good group of folks.

If it's cheaper, obviously then I'll buy them there.

Several local dealers around here carry the Cobra line in-house. I bought mine at the dealer my GF works at in motorclothes. I got about 20% off.
