Default heat shields

I removed all the exhaust heat shields from my '14 superlow, love how the bare pipes look and there seems to be less exhaust resonance, don't feel any heat difference but haven't been in slow traffic on a hot day,has anyone else done this, any ill effects?

Well other than the head pipes getting extremely hot on long runs, over time you will have discoloration which is not so attractive.

I second the pic request. Thought about doing this same thing. I also dig on the discoloration and bluing over time.

sorry I don't know how to post a picture but the naked pipes look like an aftermarket stainless system[think roland sands] they just took a little steelwool to get the marks from the hoseclamps that attach the shields off. my latest mod was to drill 1/2'' holes in the baffle, it gives it a deeper sound but no t much louder.

Yeah, I don't like the look of discolored pipes and I especially don't like it when my ankle get next to the muffler with no heat shield. I will leave mine on.
