Let's talk about air cleaners!

Devin and Kevin(DK) use the Outlaw Air Cleaners on their bikes.
With the Outlaw Air Cleaner you will be venting externally this way all of the hot, dry, oily air isn't allowed to get back in, as engines like cool dry air.
Since you prefer round you may wan't to take a look at the Outlaw 587 this Air Cleaner also has a K&N filter, you can see the many different styles at the link below.

A picture is worth a thousand words, these pictures are of a Twin Cam engine but will be the same concept for a Sportster. Hope this helps you out

A/C overall is very solid, install was easy. One thing that did disappoint me just a bit was that there is no lip on either the plate or the cover to retain the filter in position. Seems solid enough but lip would have made me more comfy. Love the filter other than that.

Might make you a bit more comfy to know that I rode up to the Arctic Circle and back with an Outlaw 587 A/C with no issues. The triple channel rubber seal on the filter does a good job of holding and sealing. Just make sure all threads have thread locker on them.
Here's a thread on the trip with lots of pics-
