Is an 883 so bad?

RE: Is an 883 so bad?
I'd buy one! It's another 2K more or less for a 1200 (I'm power-hungry and had the money, so bought the 74") but I would buy an 883. I've had my Sportster two months (1500 miles) and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The only difference between the 883 and the 1200 is the bore, basically; that's why they convert to 1200 so easily. By the way, anyone who wants to tell me my bike is a girl's bike has to CATCH me, first!

We were at the Cherokee Survivor's Rally last weekend. Just tons of Sportys there. Got to see how they are ridden too. Saw one outrun a big twin.most that I saw and heard were being hammered hard. Saturday night, I was able to run mine past the hotel so my friends could tell me if it crackles on deceleration like the other ones do and it indeed does. I love the 883, but getting to see others and the way they use theirs makes me appreciate mine even more. 23,000 on her now and not one problem. I wouldn't hesitate to go anywhere on an 883.Plus, the Sportster is just such a gorgeous looking bike just sitting still. 60 plus miles per gallon, and all that pure fun. We love our Sporties.

NOT AT ALL! My 1st HD was a 95 XLH & iloved it but it was too small for me so I got the Springer, it was a good bike, I got slip on muffler at a yard sale for $20 & it made it sound great! YOU will love it if you are not 6 ft or taller!
