Anyone else have numbness problems??

You answered your own question. My fingers get numb too but only on longer rides. What I do about every 10 minutes is straighten out my hand, fingers pointed straight forward and give them a good wiggle. You can stay on the throttle while doing this. This obviously doesn't cure the numbness problem but alleviates it when it starts to happen.
I "play the piano" under my levers while riding

Numbness on real long rides was an issue for me also.
I just upgraded my grips from the stock (rubber coated sleeve) to this:
Absolutely night/day difference.
I also have carpal tunnel.. actually 8:00 am tomorrow morning I have an Electromyogrphy test with the Neurologist for it to find out the extend of the nerve damage.
Using these grips for a week though I have noticed such an improvement in the numbness that I feel utterly stupid for not upgrading the grips until now.
