Question 2013 XL883N Iron Ignition Key

Below is an image of the standard sportster key I find on my searches when looking for a blank key for my 2013 Iron 883 (XL883N).

Problem is, my actual key is *reverse* milled from these. That is, the groove is on the other side, like a mirror image.

Has anyone come across this issue? The keys shown below are HYD 13 (aka X234). Does anyone know the code for the reverse milled key? (*Note, yes I did remove the rubber top from my key and it has no code on it).

Yeah, my 2014 superlow has the milling on the left side and I have not had any luck finding a blank. Maybe some one will come along that knows.

Interesting, my 2011 is as per your photo. Last resort if you have no success is your local friendly dealer!

I searched everywhere for a key blank for my 2012 48 with no success. Ending up paying my dealer over $30 for a cut key straight from the MoCo. All the lock and key suppliers local and internet were not able to supply a key. They were able to cut them but could not get the blank.
Ultimate control by Harley.
Sorta like being able to purchase the rifle but not being able to purchase the cartridge. Hmmm!

A bummer in some ways, but added security on the other, a bit like having a registered security door lock.

30 dollars for two keys = you get to ride

Searching tirelessly for keys that don't exist and spending no dollars = you don't get to ride...?

I think the answer is clear. LOL

Ride? I got keys, just wanted extra so I rode down to my dealer today and ordered extra keys. After the discount they were $29.20 after taxes. I'm old and have been known to lose a key from time to time. Now I don't have to worry.
