My buddy bought a 1200C today with 21k but has been sitting for a year and is idling rough. I have yet to run across a less than stellar running injected bike, going to swap the plugs but wondering, other than running some sea foam through it, how hard is it to pull the injectors and hose out the fuel lines? Or any other suggestions? Pulls well off idle and otherwise runs well TIA!!!

 

Should be fine to drain the tank, or get out as much of the old gas as you can, then refill with fresh. The old stuff in the lines should then get used up pdq and the bike may run much better. Once you are happy it is running on decent gas consider using an injector cleaner additive, to see if that clears them. I'm all for keeping things easy for a few tries! If it doesn't get better after a couple of tanksful then it will be time to scratch our heads and.......

 

We filled with fresh gas, put some Lucas fuel system cleaner in the gas and swapped the plugs. I rode it about 20 miles and its running well, still has a very slight hesitation off idle, but is very minimal, hoping that the fresh gas and treatment will bring it back to 100%, thanks for the help!
