Default Tank and Fenders

Howdy folks.. I'm looking for another set of fenders and a tank for my 2000 1200C. I've got a friend that does airbrush work and he's going to do a custom paintjob for me but it's not going to be the type to help resale (I don't think). What I was hoping is that I could buy an unpainted (maybe) set of fenders and a tank. I want to base it and clear it myself then he'll do the airbrush and final work. Is it possible to get these? I've seen in the Harley catalog custom painted stuff but I don't want to spend that much just to take the paint off. Also, I'd like to not take the tank and fenders off my bike until i have new ones so I can keep riding

TIA

I've got a tank off a 2001 1200C hanging in the garage. Let me know if you are interested.

I had a 96 with a bobtail and a fatbob tank that looked pretty sharp. I had a freind who put a dyna tank on his sporty and a bobtail fender. It was pretty sharp. He could also rider forever on a tank of gas.

New tanks are about $150 at J&P. Looks like UPS ground from here to your place would be about $20. I'd take $100 and I'll pay the shipping for UPS ground which should take about 3-5 days to get to you. The tank is in perfect condition.

Thats a screaming deal on that tank. Look on EBAY for fenders, I see them a lot for various prices. You can also try the custom guys like Jesse James, my friend picked up a fender from them on clearance for $90.00 or so.

Sounds like a good deal to me. What is your preferred method of payment? You can PM me if you like

Also. Does anyone know what year fenders are interchangeable on the sportster?

You can mail me a cashier's check or money order, that's just fine with me. I'll PM you my address. I'll get it boxed up this weekend and ship it Monday if that's OK. PM me with your address information. I'll take a photo of it tonight and e-mail it to you. If you decide not to do the deal, let me know by Sunday evening. Thanks and make sure you post some pictures after you get your air brush work done. I'm anxious to see how it turns out.

The money order will go out Monday morning. I'll head over to the bank and get everything settled as soon as they open. Thanks a million!

I'll definetly post pics. Soon as I find some fenders I'll be getting to work
