Sportster fuel pump problem
I hit a huge pothole today, going really slow, and the fuel pump started whining (same sound when you flip the on switch, maybe a little louder but it doesnt stop) immediatley the bike started losing power, hitting the throttle gives me random bursts of power, as if its getting random shots of fuel) luckily made it home.
Before the pothole the bike was running beautifully, and I cant see me breaking something internally on the fuel pump just from a pothole, Im thinking i knocked something loose on the pump but I have no idea how to diagnose what it could be exactly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I promise one day I will have something useful to input on these forums instead of my own problems!

You may have knocked the fuel pump hose either loose or enough to put a hole in it. You didn't give us any info on the bikes age or mileage, but I used to see a lot of posts here about holes in the fuel pump hose in the earlier year EFI bikes, but not so much lately.
Also check the the fuel line is still tightly connected at the bottom of the tank.
Edit: you'll also likely get more responses if you post this in the Sportster section on the forum.
