so I went to but the bowman 10" short twisted sissy bar online, it was $229 which I was ok with, but when it got to the end of checking out, there was a $47 charge for shipping! now its $280. so I cancelled the purchase. then found them on ebay, he sells there also, but the shipping was $30 and the bars were $30 more. I know they have a great rep and product, but that seems like a lot of money to ship inside the usa. am I wrong?

 

the price doesn't sound too bad to me, but i live in hawaii so my shipping ideas may be a bit skewed.
i wasn't able to find the exact bars you were referring to.
is the mounting brackets separate from the sissy bar or welded on?
the twisted sissy bars I've seen have been welded onto the mounting hardware, thus requiring a much larger box to ship than the separate pieces.

 

Yes, it's a one piece setup. Ray from bowman just emailed me and apologized for the mistake in shipping prices. So that works out for me and I'll order them now

 

Check out slim fab farms too. Way less money and sick work.

 

I just got the tall one and it was $20 to KY. I will say this the packaging job was top notch. They are not cheap, but they are top notch all the way.

 

Turned out to be $22 to New York, definitely a good product that's why I bought it from him
