I avoid highways, but they arent easily avoidable. My commute puts me on a major interstate, across a bridge, for about 2 miles - - which is long enough. I relax once I'm off clear. 65 feels like acomfortable speed - the blowing winds are no fun at all.

Just thuis evening coming home I was throttling up to about 60 mph in the center lane and in my mirror I spot a Honda Civic RIGHT on my tail. Gave him the evil biker stare and he sped around me. Wish I was in a cruiser....

I'm most comfortable at 65. When I get going faster I feel like I gotta really hang on so I don't get blown off. I only weigh 140, maybe I should put on a few pounds.

Now that's some riding...

That's more miles than some put on their bike in all the time they own it.

I don't like to do more than 70 to 75. However, I have gone several miles at 85 to 90. (yes, my little piggy will pull my fat **** up to 90 or 95 without much problem.

I love to drive my sporty (04 1200R) on the interstate. Generally do about 75-80. This bike is so smooth at speed I love it and have not had a problem driving it 105 -110 at times for short distances usually carving through some traffic. Never pegged it probably never will it would take the fun out of knowing I reached its limitations. Plus I know its not really that smart but I cant help myself the bike jumps over a hundred like nobodies business. (screamin eagle pipes and a jet kit) otherwise its stock.

I also have an 04' 1200R, but once above 65 it gets a very noticable vibration that increases as speed increases. Wonder if something is wrong with it? I prefer to ride between 55-65 which is a comfortable, relaxed pace but on the freeway I ride usually between 70-75, since our speed limits are 70 in most areas even riding 75 people blow by like nothing.

There is some vibration in the foot pegs but not bad enough for me to worry about. If I wear my boots I hardly notice it but if I wear my tennis shoes then its very noticable. I should of said for a Harley its smoother than I expected this being my first HD bike. As soon as I found out it was a rubber mounted engine I had to have one and gave up looking at the metric bikes. To me its a whole different bike compared to the non-rubber mounted models. Not that there is anythig wrong with the no-rubber one I have ridden plenty of them as well but I prefere the new re-designed modles for looks and performance. They are great right out of the box. (after the standard pipe change and jet kit)
