Default R modle fork boots?

I currently have the front end pulled apart on my 02 883R and the lower tubes out getting PC'd gloss black and I want to get some fork boots but I can't remember the amount of travel on the R model sportsters.
My mother has a Nightster and it has boots like I want but I think if I buy the same ones they will come up short. Can anyone chime in on the length I should get.
I would just measure if I didn't have it all pulled apart lol
Thanks

Just to tease ya we still get the R over here - 2015 spec:

I suspect you need slightly longer gaiters for your R, take a look on Ebay, search for 'harley gaiters' and there are several options.

If your forks are 39mm with about a 5 1/4 stroke , these might do it for ya.
Amazon.com: BIKER'S CHOICE 666760 BC 39MM BLACK FORK BOOTS (PR): Automotive Amazon.com: BIKER'S CHOICE 666760 BC 39MM BLACK FORK BOOTS (PR): Automotive
I'm kinda thinking the same thing later on , since my '48 forks are 5 1/4" stroke now instead of 3 1/2"
I found a set in my JP Cycles catalog , but the website is a pain to navigate.

I was a bit slow, only remembered that after posting! You can look forward to riding on the 'right' side of the road - in other words the left........

Isn't there also something different with the top cap on the lower fork leg on the models with boots, I think instead of the smooth tapered chrome it has a machined notch for the boot.

I just ordered some 6.9" universal. I don't know that there is anything special about the fork leg on models that come with boots other than less travel and total length. Ill post pic's of mine all done tho.
