No, I have no drain at all - no alarm, no clock...nothing. If you did, you would have to give it an occasional charge.

It is, isn't it? I think mine sat for around 8 months a few years back with no tender. Not only did it start right up, it was a new "tight" engine that it cranked right over.

If you have anything running, like security/alarm, it is good to use a tender if it is going to be more than a couple of weeks between riding.

That is the reason I first started looking into these years ago. Glad I did, still running my original Lithium Bat almost 5 years, and a lot of abuse later.

Alarms, security, etc. will have a parasitic drain on them, needing a battery tender, but just the ECM is a non-issue, even if left sitting for months.
