Question Frisco Bars - New Brake Line

Need some help guys.

I am going to purchase Frisco bars (7" rise) and need a new longer brake line. I heard you can bend the stock one, but I don't want to do that.

Is the pic below what I need? I searched the forum and found most the of the info but just want to confirm before I order.

Here is a link as well: https://www.magnumshielding.com/Brak.../brake-46742SW

Is there anything else I need?

Thanks!

Just take your stock cable to a local hose shop. They will cut off the rubber section and crimp on a new piece to whatever length you want to add. That's what I did. Cost me like $15.

Pick up some new crush washers for the upper and lower banjo bolts while your there. You will also need a little more brake fluid to make up for what you loose. Good luck! Pretty easy job but most people have difficulties when it comes to bleeding the air out of the brake line.

Will do, thanks man. Yeah from what I hear that can be a bit of a pain.

I just thought of something that will completely throw a wrench in the gears.

My bike has ABS...

I'm sure that changes the game?

The magnum sheilding brake lines come with new crush washers. I ran my stock brake line with Frisco's, just did some minor bending. I just recently switched to a longer brake line from magnum shielding (46") for my 10" Z bars. Install was easy, front brake is now less spongy. Bleeding the brake took about 20 minutes. Its not a hard job just takes a while with a new line. Check out some videos on youtube.

Awesome, so you were actually able to run them with the stock brake line? I think I will go that route at first, and then swap out to an extended line down the road. Thank you!
