or you can get a luggage rack & a tail bag,, I think that would be more secure & hold more than a sissi bar bag and look better too.

a back pack is a pain to put on over a motorcycle jacket, and it's even more a pain in the hot summer when your back is sweating

The $35 Walmart sissy bar bag/back pack works extremely well. I'm really impressed by it. It holds quite a bit of crap and it's weatherproof as well. I use it constantly as I don't like something hanging off my shoulder when I ride.

Thanks to everyone for the great info. I am not sure yet what I will do but I will definitely use all of the info whenever I decide to make a move.

Some have already mentioned the kriega range. I was looking for a waterproof one and purchased the R30 http://www.kriega.com/r30/ as the main compartment is fully waterproof (works like the camping equipment bags that the top rolls to seal). Also the straps are specially designed for riding motorcycles and leave the arms with plenty of freedom.

After reading all the reviews I was a bit sceptical about comments like "fits so well I never knew I was wearing it", yeah right! Purchased one anyway as none of my other rucksacks were waterproof. First time I used it was on a 2 hour ride and I have to admit the reviewers weren't far off, once set up correctly (about 5mins of adjusting straps) I put the sack on my back, fastened the straps at the chest and rode off. After the first couple of miles I had to remind myself I was wearing it, it was that comfortable. No issues with it even at 80mph.

Only negative comment I can think of is that once you've finished riding and walking around it is not that great if you just sling one strap over one shoulder, not a great problem as comfortable enough with both straps on.

I use one of these:

It's waterproof, mega sturdy, really big, and cool looking. I've never not been able to get everything to work!

I purchased this 2-1 messenger bag that also has the backpack straps. I freaking love it. classy enough I guess for the office enviroment but rugged enough for riding. Good space. can put my clothes, ipad, and lunch in it.

I will add another vote for the wal-mart backpack and a sissybar. It works well and is fairly waterproof. You can store everything you listed in the pack and have room for other things as well. Best $35 storage you can get. I use mine every day that I ride to work and that includes a trip to the gym (most days) after as well. Although, if you don't have the sissybar then your investment might be more.
