Default XL Headlight: before & after with DK Customs LED

After purchasing the Custom Dynamics LED Ringz on installing on the Sportster the headlight was in need of an upgrade - I installed the LED from DK Customs.
Here's a pic in the garage before with the stock H4 and after with the DK Customs drop in LED before adjusting the horizontal height (which I don't think I will do since this is mainly to be seen since the wife rarely rides at night). It's really bright when you see it coming at you .....

This is a perfect representation of before and after. I installed the custom dynamics moon shinez as well as the DK Customs H4 LED and its obvious from on coming traffic direction that i'm incredibly visible. I have cars that would have never waited before wait now for me to go through an intersection from a LONG distance away.

I sure love mine. I played around with the vertical adjustment a bit and ended up back pretty close to stock. Screw the lack of cutoff. I'd rather be seen. I've never had anyone flash their brights at me at night so I guess its OK.

Im bumping this up because the Daymaker is not $320.00+ better than DK Customs offering. This is an amazing lighting upgrade for not alot of money.

Hey guys I have a problem. So I helped a buddy install a similar LED light on his 2006 xl1200r. The one in question is made by headwinds. Install went good and it lit up on low beam and high beam properly. But when we went for a ride I noticed his high beam would flash along with his turn signal when we would be turning. He said both turn signal arrows in his dummy lights would flash. We went back to stock bulb and it worked fine again. Could it had been a bad unit or a problem with bike. Maybe bike Reading bulb out. Checked battery connection and fuse, both were good

Back when extra running lights were on many cars and Ford trucks had those huge headlights that lit up about 200" wide on low beams, it got miserable for me driving at night, would completely lose sight of the pavement. I started wearing yellow glasses (shooting glasses worked pretty good) and they'd cut the glare, bring the pavement back into view, and didn't darken the view, unlike amber and other colors that just act like sunglasses at night. Have to take them off in daytime, just makes it look brighter out, they're not sunglasses. When I got in my 60's (and cars started getting lower glare stock lights), the problem seemed to mostly go away; it was worst in my 50's. If you have any shooting glasses, have her take a look through them at night, might get lucky and help her like it did me.
