Hey guys I am looking for a shifter arm for my 79 ironhead sportster. I have been on the hunt for a while now trying to find the right one. I ordered one from j and p cycles, but that one was too short I could barely fit my boot under it to shift. Another one I bought was the right length but it couldn't shift because it was rubbing against the heel peg rest. The last one I bought I thought was the right one, it looked almost identicle to the original shifter but it didn't have an upward bend on it and when it was on the bike the position of the heel peg wouldn't allow it to shift into a higher gear. If anyone has any info about a shift lever for a 79 sporty please let me know! Thank you. I will try to post pictures of the original shifter to give you an idea of what it looks like.
