I don't know if he was blind but you can see a lot of rust(?) and the chrome has peeled off. This damn Sportster is so ratty it no longer looks like a Sportster

So I saw this thread and clicked on it because I really wanted to see some pics of sportsters done as ratbikes so I could get some ideas. I have now read through 3 pages of people arguing, without a single actual picture of a sportster ratbike.

What's the big deal about really old threads?
i see time and time again, people giving others grief about old threads.....
isn't that the point of this forum?

Old threads are threads too 😕

Btw I would never rat my ride lol, maybe a second bike, but not my main ride.

Well, sometimes when you open an older thread, they have a musky/dank smell to them.

I disagree. I think this is the hottest Sportster ever made.
If I was looking for a new bike this would top the list to test ride.
I might be wrong but I think this will sell like hotcakes.
Have to remember that MOCO is looking to bring in new riders and this definitely appeals to riders that are looking at similar bikes from a multitude of manufacturers. And not the old guard riders

I can't. Oh, wait it's a turd. I don't like the new Sportster. I suspect It's not meant or marketed towards me to like. I have nothing against innovation. But, a TM Revival. A REVIVAL of what? It's more lip stick on a pig and we'll call it an ICON. Nice try MoCo another slick market ploy to charge more for less and steal money from the unsuspected with more money then brains.

The sportster s is like they took the worst parts of a v rod and the worst part of the sporster xl1200 parts bins and put them together to try to recoop some money.
the v rod w as a hot looking bike the sportster has the cool style the sporster s comes up short on both fronts
