Default cv carb changes

i found a harley cv carb off a 99 fatboy and after market air cleaner on craigslist for 100dlrs i read all the time people swapping their sporty carbs onto big twin harleys cause their carb was acting up so my question is other than jetting is there a big diff in the carbs just curious if i wanna take a trip to go get it and would it work on my sporty 883

Shouldn't be a problem. Sportsters/Big Twins use the same Kehin carb with different jetting.

Gonna cost a lot less to re-jet and dial it in. Big Twins & Sportsters use the same CV 40.

I have a sportster 883 and have allways had trouble using bike for shopping the plugs just soot up have opened gap to 40thou, and now is good bob hytche
