Ok update on my sportster bagger. Made and installed HD style quick release, locking, hard bag mounts and picked up a used set (but in excellent condition) of Viking leather covered hardbags.

Now I can go from a bagger with windshield, hard bags and sissy bar, to a bare bike in less than 5 minutes.

The plan is for a QD trunk as well. Took it out for a 40 mile ride today to test my brackets. They worked better than I hoped.

Forgot to mention the home made turn signal relocation bracket as well. I have about $200 in the whole setup. It pays to be cheap.

Nice job handrifle. quick-release....best of both worlds. More satisfying when you DIY.

Re align the left side exhaust pipe, it's a little off in this shot.

New pics added.. Transformation of '48 to Sport Glide!
I know this is an old pic, but can you please post pics of how you did this exhaust? I am super interested.

good luck getting a response...I think I asked the same question when he posted and did not get a response.

was going to install crossovers under the bike and even picked up a spare under frame crossover sitting around at the shop but decided I probably needed to fabricate or bend pipes and did not have the time or resources.

Yea plus its an old post. I could weld a bunch of fittings to make the bends but probably would not look pretty.

Have you seen the flexible stainless steel pipes? I have seen some stuff that looks woven but I think that hides something underneath. It looks quite neat though.
