If/when you decide to put on saddlebags, you may want to consider these in your due diligence. Good quality and sturdy. I have no regrets.

Cool, just make sure it doesn't walk away if your cover is accessible. People do strange things. I hold my stuff (registration, safety check, insurance) in my wallet.

Close-up so you can see the mounts. Have quick release mounts for my sissy so had to use longer bolts.
This is the J&P Cycle relocation kit that I am using. Just remove the turn signal from the fender, install on license plate kit, and reroute the wires to the turn signal connectors in the tail light. Hardest part is removing the turn signal from the fender since there is a nut inside the strut cover holding the turn signal.

Installed the 9.5" smoke black flared today.

And there is no issues with the canbus either as there are load balancers fitted into the bags.
They are a great bag and seem to fit the bike very well

Just installed the 9.5" flared this evening so have not taken the bike out yet. Will report back.
Since it is basically the same shape as the 8" flared just taller, I can be reasonably certain that it will move the airflow at least 1 1/2" above where the 8" was hitting. The 9.5" also fit my fairing a lot better...not as much bend from end-to-end.
