Fat Boy front end on a Sportster
#22
Yeah maybe I don't like that look. Looks a little weird with the narrow glide.
I've found a decent amount of older posts that talk about it and have links to companies that made the conversion kits, but they are either not in business anymore or stopped making the kit. There's only two places I've found that still sell the kit.

anyone know of anywhere that sells fatster kits or where you can buy used fatboy/heritage front ends?
This is the only place I could find...

Fat boy / wide glide front end on Sportster
I have an 02 Sportster i was in an accident back in April this year. The front was toasted. i found a used wide glide front end to put on it. Not sure what year bike it was from but it went with no issues at all. The best thing to do wheel wise is to find a wide glide wheel to put on it. There is an adapter kit you can buy for the Sportster wheel to space out the brake rotor and the extra wide wheel spacers. For the axle length. Look around on look around on Offer Up and Letgo. You can find some decent prices on stuff there. Hope this helps. Good luck . Would like to hear how it goes for you
I searched it and couldn't really find a lot of people who done it, only found a couple pic when I googled it.
How hard would it be to install one? Was thinking it would look pretty sweet on my Iron, like the beefy look of them.
Also is there anywhere that sells Fat Boy, Heritage style front ends, are they considered Softail front ends? I always wanted to get a springer, which I still like, but I really like the heavy duty tapered look..makes it look mean.
What width tire can you fit on them? Will 48 wheels and tires fit?
Anyone have any input or experience with putting one on a sportster?

Put 91 Softail front end on it wheel and all. Had to grind the stops off so the wheel would turn far enough and rebuild the master brake caliper as it was dot 5 and the caliper was dot 5. The front brake is now on dot 4.
Had to build a new kickstand as the bike sits a few inches higher now.
