Very simple, an old school look. Right Balley?
I don't want to lube the chain weekly so I stick with drive belt, almost no maintenance.

RE: Why chain drive ?
Done all the work myself. Rear Sprocket, Chain (Get a good one. i got the diamond O-Ring), Front sprocket, Front seal, may have to change spacer on front.
I think it cost me around $250.00.

RE: Why chain drive ?
My first 1960Sportster had a little oil valve with a small 1.8" tube that bent over the chain. You adjusted it to drip a drop of oil on the chain every so many drops per mile. you just opened the valve if the chain started looking dry and closed the valve slightly if the chain looked too wet. The chain oil was the motor too!! Yea things got kinda messy!
And there is chain slap too that you don't get with the belt drive.
For top hot rod perfornmance get a good chain set up , otherwise give me the smooth belt.
