Default side cover ideas

ok, I need some creative thinking here. I ride a 2006 xl1200c, black cherry / black pearl. The stock black side covers need some help standing out or just looking average. Does anyone have an idea other than decals or stickers? I believe the only real options are to find a small indy airbrush artist and cut him loose or use magnetic metallic tribal flames etc. I don't have alot of $$$$ so I have to find small things to make my bike different. Everything I have seen so far just looks cheap or makes some dumb statement. I appreciate everyone's ideas

Harley has something called a side cover wing tip, they look good on the web site but I have never seen them in person. The chrome side covers look good too.

I have the wing tips, I like them.

But, I would recommend before you spend any $$$ you make sure the battery cover isn't going to fall off. Don't depend on those plastic clips to hold the cover. Way too many of us have learned that lesson the hard way.

Do you have a pic of the side cover with the wing tips?
What's the best fix for the battery cover issue, I didn't know they tended to fall off.

This is the wing tip covers. They are HD# 66264-04

This pic of my bike shows them so you can get a better idea of how they look on the bike.

i didn't add any pics because i thought we all knew what these covers looked like, my bad. it looks like i will either use the wingtips or look at local airbrushers. on the issue of lost battery covers, i did what someone here mentioned. drill a small hole by the botton slot and put a black cable tie. if it pops off at least it isn't gone. thanks for the info
