I have an 03 with ISO grips and pegs and there is no vibration problem. I can ride all day, getup the next day and do it again. I'm 50 and out of any sort of shape. As stated before many 04 and up new to Harley riders notice a vibration that their old metric didn't have and they assume and report on how bad the older ones are without any first hand knowledge. If you rode Harleys for 10 or 20 or 30 years then any built in the last 10 years are fine. If you want a bike with little or no vibraion, get an electric scooter.

Recently sold a 92 vintage 883 huggerand acquired an 04 1200 custom.... The 883 had rubber bushings where the risers bolted through the top tree and the 1200c appears to have a solidly bolted riser. The only real differences in vibes that I can tell are being able to see clearly in the mirror of the 1200and more docile, muffled sound (the 883 had drag pipes).

 

I don't have rubber, and it's not bad. You actually get a better riding sensation without rubber...

 

I've got a 2000 & the vibration isn't bad at all. I can see in my mirrors perfectly fine at any speed.
