Default Side Mount License Plate and Fender Chop

Trying to find a nice clean side mount vertical license plate bracket for my 2008 Sportster XL883L.

I'd prefer one that doesn't have a HUGE light attached to it. I can deal with a small clean light but the big ones are kind of an eyesore IMO.

Also going to chop my rear fender. I purchased a rear fender from an 04' Sportster since mine has a huge hole where the ECM used to sit. I plan to chop it about halfway off and move the turn signals back to where the fender bolts sit. Want to match the factory blue paint after I install it. Anyone know where I can find factory Harley paint?

Here's the bike now:

Cut your fender at the front and just move it forward.

No paint necessary.

Hey Sporty, not to hijack the thread(but I am), what speedo setup do you have? I like how it doesn't stick up in the air a mile like my Iron.

Ha ha I am stoked that someone noticed this!

I almost bought a Roland Sands speedo mount that basically replaces the eyebrow that holds the headlight.

But instead of paying $275, I took the speedo and mounted it to the top of the triple trees where the eyebrow goes. I had to dremel out the holes on the speedo mount to make it fit the to the top of the triple trees. Took about 20 mins.

Then I bought chrome spacers from Home Depot and mounted the eyebrow to the underside of the triple trees. Couldn't be more pleased. Lowers the headlight and speedo about 3" so it doesn't stick up all goofy.

About $20 in parts from home depot.

Good looking ride. Looking forward to seeing it with the chopped fender.

Here's a clean vertical plate relo kit with a Lifetime Warranty-

It has an optional LED bolt light that is about as low profile as you can get.

Vertical mount license plates are illegal in Kalifornia.

Another option could be to find a stock take-off from a newer sportster with a factory chopped fender.
