Brand New Harley Rider! - 48 (Build thread later)

Congrats and welcome. I am sure you will love your new ride. I know I love mine. I had one of the best rides of the year this morning. I don't even know why specifically but I arrived at work in the best mood and smiling from ear to ear. Maybe it was just because this morning was finally a beautiful warm and sunny day. I don't know, but I was screaming in and out of traffic and just having a blast. Now if I can get a blessing and miss the rain storm on the way home

Wow thanks for the warm welcome guys! I rode my bike to work today and loved every second of it. I certainly agree with the input on modding, I'll be starting with small things such as an exhaust, intake and tune but I do have an idea of what I'd like it to look like in the near future.
Also, I know the HD manual recommends a 500 mile break in period - What did most of you do?

I did the basic break in thing with mine in 2010. Shifted up and down a lot with out running in one gear for a long time or high rpm's. Got the 500 mile oil change/maintenance then rode the **** out of it after that. Then the mods began in the winter time 2010 and never stopped! Make it your own and enjoy it! HD Sporty's are a blast to ride and build! Welcome to the club!!
