Default Black Pipes

Im looking for any pointers on cleaning Vance and Hines black pipes. I have the blackout 2 into 1. I bought the bike used and they already had some discoloration. It hasnt really gotten any worse since when I bought them, but it is starting to bother me more now. They almost have a purple tint to them.

Can anyone pass along some best practices or techniques for cleaning them and getting them back to their original look? If I cant figure something out, I might be sending them off to get recoated before too long.

I'm no expert but if the discoloration is from heat I don't think you can clean it. You would have to get it coated. If it had some stuff burned on it then you might be able to clean it off although I have read the coating on the blackout is really thin. I am sure someone with way more experience will chime in.
