Just got an email from JP Cycles saying Avon doesn't have pegs that will fit my '14 Iron due to a different mounting system.. anything I can do about this?

 

Took a nice set of pegs off my 07 hoping they would fit the 2014 Custom 1200.
No go on the front because the driver peg front mount flange extends approximately a 1/4 more in the front.
Short of grinding your mounts or swapping out for a earlier model mount, there may not be a fix. If you find one post up here please.

 

Sucks I bought em, really wanted pegs to match my hand grips. JP Cycles has been great though, customer service got back to me quick when I emailed me and told me to send 'em back, no worries.

The shift lever fit though...

 

the forty eights are the same way. just grind the mount down and any peg will fit.

 

This is what a lot of folks are doing. If my clevis's were black I would've done it already(quick rattle can repaint). Sadly not that easy with my chrome ones.

 

Harley dealer makes replacement mounts for aftermarket pegs, not too expensive $40?

 

wow something in expensive from Harley! Mine were chrome also. I powder coated them black after grinding them down.

Also, LOVE your avatar. I'm a younger guy, but I've seen a few games when Probert and Kocur will both still with 'em, that was a different era.
