Default New pictures - 06' Roadster

Hey guys,

I bought an 06' Roadster with 16,000 miles on it maybe 2 months ago. Here she is! First picture is the night I brought her home. Second picture is how she sits today. I still have quite a bit to do. Since buying it, I've put a 160 rear shinko tire, 110 front shinko tire, short shots, iron bars, biltwell tuck n' roll seat, highway bars, energy one clutch plate kit. Still have to chop the fender, put new grips on, install brake/turn module, and a few other bits and pieces. Next up is powder coat for the tank, fenders, and wheels. I wish I didn't have to touch the original paint but the previous owner dropped it in the parking lot and there's a good 1-2" sized dent in the tank. GRRRRR. Plus, there's rust all over the rear fender on the edges. Really pisses me off! Anyway, pictures!

Looking good, the Roadster is a great platform to work from as it has the dual front brakes and the black & silver engine.

How do you like that seat? I have been looking at them and like the look of them.

Have a black 07 Roadster but that orange is fine looking.

Are you staying with the orange or changing color?

You gotta loose those front fork reflectors right away too.

I'm not sticking with the orange. If I do, I'd have to get it professionally done and that's going to cost big $$$$. This is a bit of a budget bike so I'm keeping the cost down as much as possible.

I'm thinking I may just take it down to bare metal, put several clear coats, throw some Harley badges on it, and call it a day.

I just installed the Burly tall sissy bar. It looks DOPE. Oh, and I LOVE the Biltwell seat. It is DEFINITELY not meant for long distances, but its good for 50-60 miles before discomfort kicks in. I'd buy it again if I had the choice for sure. It really cleans up the lines of the bike and looks awesome.

One of my favorite bikes. Carb, dual front brakes and a black engine. You put a Mack Daddy saddle on it, too.
If you strip and clear. what are you gonna do about the tank dent? Will a tank emblem hide it? How 'bout the side covers? Same strip/clear treatment?

Have you priced having the wheels powder coated? I'm just curious what the price on something like that is...

Congrats , nice looking bike.
One of the nicer models to work with , especially the carb and dual brakes.
The sportier sportster .....
Too bad about the tank dent , I like that color.
