Ridin to Port Aransas/Corpus Saturday........
4 to 7 of some friends and I are ridin to Port A. Saturday, any that might like to join us are welcome.
Leaving early will stop for breakfast en-route.
Part of the group will be staying in Port A. the rest will head on down to Corpus for photo at the aircraft carrier Lexington then work our way back to Austin.
I will post the depature time this evening along with more detailed info.
A little info on our group
We are an informal riding group, we ride safe but staying in formation is not our objective. We tend to ride where we feel comfortable and string out a bit, we do tighten up in towns and move more as a group.

RE: Ridin to Port Aransas/Corpus Saturday........
We left out at 7:30am got back around 9:30pm, I posted this in the general section also.
We did 518 miles.
----------------------
It was a real nice ride except when we left there was a heavy wet fog, kinda like riding through a mister. Left out at 7:30am and took hwy183 to Lockhart (about a half hour out of town) and had breakfast at the "Kountry Kitchen", nice people good food. We got back on the road around 8:45am and the fog had lifted and the sun was out. We stopped at a few roadside parks for breaks one of them is where the group pic was taken. We saw a fairly large amount of bikes on the road all types. The ferry over to Port Aransas was cool, we just rode by all these cars to right up front and onto the next avilible ferry, heard some disgruntled cagers as we went by. The sign I saw as we started past on the sholder was "45min from this point". We left one of our group in Port A and went on to Corpus to get the carrier shots. We then grabed a bite to eat and headed home.
